Welcome to my Blog!

WELCOME to my new blog!  Very excited to be directly connected with fellow hands-on, creative, DIY junkies, crafters and everyone in between.  My thought is, "no one - not a carpenter, not a contractor - was born with a drill in their hand!"  I am proof that tenacity can go a long way - especially in construction, design and creating with your hands.  Being a Carpenter, Decorative painter, welder etc - is all a process or layered information - it is not brain surgery! I am cutting wood, mixing cement and slapping some paint around.  Anything I have messed up (and I have), I can fix or make better - all that and more is what I will share with you!

MY GOALS:
When approaching any project, I usually have 3 things in mind: 1.) Being Creative  2.) Being Safe  3.) Saving money! Those 3 goals are the same ones I hope to share through this blog - I want YOU to be creative, YOU to be safe and YOU to save money.  Lord, knows I have had some hard knocks in this business - physically, emotionally and financially.  Many things I have had to learn the hard way AND mostly by myself - simply, 'cause there wasn't anyone around to ask, help or teach me.  If I can share some bit of information that will save YOU heartache, headaches, money and frustration then this is the place I plan to do it!  Through this blog, I invite you into my home & my workshop.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Weekly, I will be posting in Spanish and English, sharing the step-by-step process to home and craft projects along with tips and tricks usually handed down from craftsperson to craftsperson.  Always look for the same post in both languages AND, to make things fun, I will be incorporating video blogs featuring new materials, tools and gadgets.  It's all about sharing the love!

SHARING:
I am blessed many times over - many countries in this world would never allow a woman to have the workshop I have sitting in my yard - much less, wield all the tools in it! I firmly believe part of my journey is to share those blessings by sharing my knowledge.  The most satisfying part of my work is knowing people all over the world are painting walls, buying tools and creatively recycling,  'cause they saw 5'2" me behind a brush, a drill and salvaging wood!  Who says you can't!  Come back often, subscribe and please share your thoughts or questions.  The more we interact the more fun this will be!

The only thing that limits your creativity is YOU!
